The Vienna Philharmonic is the first Euro-denominated bullion coin. The Silver Vienna Philharmonic has been issued since 2008 and is now one of the most popular European collector's coins. Its design was created in 1989 by Thomas Pesendorfer and the 2016 Vienna Philharmonic from CoinInvest features the pipe organ from the Musikverein concert hall, home to the world famous orchestra. The reverse of the coin shows a variety of orchestral instruments. The coin is legal currency in Austria and it has a face value of 1.50 Euros.
